Most computers can benefit from optimization! Older PCs often see the most dramatic improvements as accumulated clutter and outdated configurations are resolved. If a system is extremely old and hardware limitations are severe, we will provide honest feedback during the initial diagnosis.

Our primary expertise and tools are focused on Windows-based desktop and laptop computers and desktops. We currently do not offer optimization services for macOS or Linux systems, only repair services.

Remote: Best for convenience, speed, and software-level issues if you have a stable internet connection. It's our most popular option.

In-Person: Ideal if you're local to the Marshville, NC area, prefer face-to-face interaction, need physical cleaning, or want hardware installed immediately.

Mail-In: Perfect if you're not local, want the most thorough service (including physical cleaning and diagnostics), have an older system, or lack reliable internet.

We use AnyDesk, a popular secure and encrypted remote access tool. You can download this small program, provide us with an access code, and we connect to your PC over the internet. You can watch everything we do on your screen. You remain in full control and can disconnect the session at any time.

We offer both! You can bring your computer to our workshop in the Marshville/Unionville, NC area, or we can arrange a visit to your home or office if you are within our local service radius. Please contact us to discuss location details.

You securely pack and ship your computer (desktop tower or laptop) to our service center. You cover the initial shipping cost to us. Once the optimization is complete (usually within 48 hours of arrival), we ship it back to you via a tracked courier. We provide packing recommendations upon booking.

Absolutely not. Our optimization focuses on system files, temporary data, unwanted programs, and malware. We do not touch your personal documents, photos, music, or videos unless specifically instructed (e.g., helping you back them up). Data safety is a top priority.

No. Our optimization process does not affect your legitimate software licenses. We work within your existing licensed operating system and applications.

During our diagnostics (even in remote sessions), we can assess if your hardware (like low RAM amount or a slow mechanical hard drive) is a major performance bottleneck. We will explain the benefits of potential upgrades (e.g., an SSD drastically speeds up boot times and loading).

Yes! If you purchase compatible RAM, an SSD, or other components, we can install them for you during an In-Person or Mail-In service. Our optimization fee still applies for the overall service, plus any agreed-upon labor charge specifically for complex hardware installation if applicable (this will be quoted).

Yes. We can recommend appropriate components based on your system and needs, provide you with a clear quote for the parts at competitive prices, and purchase them on your behalf for installation during In-Person or Mail-In service. Payment for the parts is required before we order them.

Basic installations like RAM or a standard SSD swap during a full optimization service often have no additional labor charges, as the PC is already open (for In-Person/Mail-In). We will provide a clear quote before proceeding if any significant extra labor is involved. Usually the only additional cost is the price of the part itself, if we source it.

We use AnyDesk, which employs TLS 1.2 encryption (similar to online banking) and RSA 2048 key exchange to secure the connection. You initiate the connection and can see everything we do, and you can terminate it instantly.

While our process is designed to be safe, we always strongly recommend that you have a current backup of your important personal files before any computer service, whether from us or anyone else. We do not perform a full data backup as part of the standard optimization service, but we can offer guidance or separate data backup services if needed.

Our technicians only access areas of the system necessary for diagnostics and optimization (e.g., system folders, installed programs list, task manager). They are bound by strict privacy policies and have no interest in your personal files. Diagnostic tools operate with read-only access where possible.

You need to be there to initiate the session. While you can watch, you don't need to sit there the entire time. We may need you occasionally if the system needs to restart or if we have questions. We recommend staying reachable.

Absolutely! After the service, we provide personalized recommendations, such as regularly restarting your PC, being mindful of software installations, keeping your system updated, and performing occasional disk cleanups.
