Privacy Policy — Fake Search Results Generator (Android app)
Last updated 10 September 2026. This policy covers the Android app
Fake Search Results Generator (package
com.itechvista.serpsimulator), published by iTechVista. It does not
cover the itechvista.com online store, which has its own
store privacy policy.
The short version
The whole editor runs on your device. There is no account and no sign-in. We collect no usage analytics from the app at all — not the searches you type, not the result text you write, not the images you add.
Data leaves your device in exactly two situations, both of which you choose to start:
- You enter a Pro licence key to unlock the app.
- You add your own Google Gemini API key and use an AI feature.
If you do neither, the app makes no network requests carrying your data.
1. Unlocking Pro with a licence key
If you enter a licence key, the app sends to our licensing server:
- The licence key you typed.
- A device identifier. This is a random value the app generates the first time it needs one and stores on your device. It is not your advertising ID, IMEI, MAC address, or any hardware identifier, and it is not derived from anything about you or your phone.
- A device label — browser and operating system only, for example “Chrome on Android”. It never contains a device name you have set.
Our server additionally records the country your request came from and a one-way hash of your IP address. The IP hash is used only to rate-limit activation attempts; the raw IP address is not stored.
Why: to check the key is valid and to enforce the number of devices a licence covers. Nothing here is used for advertising or profiling, and none of it is sold or shared with third parties.
2. AI features and your own Gemini key
The AI features are off until you supply your own Google Gemini API key. That key is stored only on your device and is never sent to iTechVista.
When you use an AI feature, the text of your request is sent directly
from your device to Google (generativelanguage.googleapis.com)
using your key. It does not pass through our servers and we never see it. That
transfer is between you and Google and is governed by
Google’s privacy
policy and the terms attached to your API key.
If you do not add a key, no AI request is ever made.
3. What stays on your device
Your projects, saved mockups, queries, result text, and any images you import are stored on your device only. Exported images are written where you choose to save or share them. None of it is uploaded to us.
4. What we do not do
- No advertising, no ad networks, no advertising identifier.
- No analytics or usage tracking in the app.
- No access to your contacts, calendar, microphone, camera, or precise location.
- Photos are read only when you pick one, and only the one you pick.
- We do not sell or share personal data with third parties.
5. How long we keep it
Licence and activation records are kept while the licence exists, so the device limit can be enforced and so we can support you.
We also keep one row per activation attempt — a one-way hash of the address it came from, the first few characters of the key that was tried, and whether it worked. This is what stops someone guessing keys. It holds no raw IP address and no complete key, and it is never used to build a profile or to track you between sessions. We keep these rows no longer than we need them for that purpose, and only the rate-limiting check ever reads them.
6. Deleting your data
To have the data associated with your licence deleted:
- Email support@itechvista.com with the subject “Delete my app data”.
- Include your licence key, or the order number or email address you used to buy it, so we can find the record.
- We confirm and delete within 30 days.
What is deleted: your licence record, every device activation linked to it (including the random device identifier, device label and country), and any activation-attempt records tied to it.
What is kept, and why: the record of your purchase held by the online store, where we are required to keep it for tax and accounting purposes. That is covered by the store privacy policy.
To delete everything without contacting us: uninstalling the app removes all content stored on your device, including your projects and your Gemini API key. This does not remove the licence record on our server — use the steps above for that.
Deleting your Pro licence data means the key can no longer be activated on a new device.
7. Children
The app is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
8. Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top. Material changes will be noted in the app’s release notes.
