Your app opens without a password. Add a lock for local security.
Data Security (E2EE)
Manage your End-to-End Encryption password. This key encrypts and decrypts your notes.
Your notes are encrypted before they leave your device.
Pro-IT Note: This will download, decrypt, and re-encrypt all your notes with the new password.
Your notes are saved as readable text in your browser's local storage. This choice is permanent.

Delete All Data
Permanently delete all notes and security settings from this browser. This action cannot be undone.
About Your Security
This app is designed with several layers of security to protect your information. It's important to understand how they work in this local-only version.
Layer 1: Local Browser Storage
This app does not use a cloud account. All your notes are stored directly in your browser's secure `localStorage` on this device only.
Your data does not sync to other devices and is not backed up. Clearing your browser data will permanently delete your notes.
Layer 2: The App Lock (The "Gate")
This is the Password, PIN, or Pattern you may have set up. Think of it as a gate on your device. It stops someone who has your phone from opening the app. This password is only stored on this device and can be changed or removed in Settings.
Layer 3: Data Encryption (The "Safe")
If you chose "Secure (E2EE) Mode", you created a separate Encryption Password. This password scrambles your notes into unreadable code before they are saved to your browser's storage. This provides the highest level of privacy against anyone inspecting your device.
The "Pro-IT" Trade-Off: No Recovery
The guarantee of E2EE privacy is that only you have the key. We cannot see your Encryption Password, and it is not stored anywhere.
This means your E2EE password CANNOT be recovered. If you forget it, your encrypted notes will be permanently lost.
